This is a NO-DROP, weekly ride that starts in the Capitola area and ventures out on the paved roads of Eastern Leon and Jefferson counties. The ride uses eight (8) road courses that will be ridden in sequential order over a two (2)-month period, starting on the first Wednesday of every other month. In 2026 and 2027, the “first Wednesdays” will be August 5, 2026; October 7, 2026; December 2, 2026; February 3, 2027; April 7, 2027; June 2, 2027; August 4, 2027; October 6, 2027, and December 1, 2027.

All the courses are 30-34 miles and will include a mid-ride break and occasional short pauses to allow riders to regroup. Due to this area’s rural nature, access to restroom facilities and potable water on rides is not assured.

The average cycling pace for these rides will be 14-16mph, with both slower and faster segments due to the topography, the weather, or the size and composition of the ride group. If you are on one of these rides and find you cannot keep pace, inform the ride leader or a nearby rider so that the ride group will know to keep an eye on you.

Registration Information
Pre-registration is not required for club members. It is recommended that Non-members sign a waiver of liability to participate; also, the club’s insurance policies do not cover non-members. Non-Members ride at own risk.

Helmets are required!
