About this event

Pace Miles Pace Group Leader Route
B/B+ (14 to 18) 37 or 25 Steve Baird & Garry Breedlove  Riding Not Working Wednesday: Havana 37
Riding Not Working Wednesday: Havana 25

Join the group for a fairly hilly ride (by Tallahassee standards) from downtown Havana into southern Georgia and back.  The ride leaders generally ride the longer route but those who would like to ride the shorter route are welcome to do so on their own.  The longer route has two short breaks and a longer rest stop at the Calvary Baptist Church Social Hall.  The shorter route also has a rest stop at Calvary Baptist Church Social Hall.

This is intended to be a social ride.  No one who can maintain a B pace will be dropped.  If the group gets ahead, one of the ride leaders will stop and allow everyone to re-group periodically.  Some riders may pick up the pace at points (particularly during the second half of the ride) but at least one ride leader will hang back as necessary to make sure that no one is dropped.

Ride Paces:   A++: 22+ mph   A+: 20-22 mph   A: 18-20 mph   B+: 16-18 mph   B: 14-16 mph  C: 12-14 mph   CASUAL: 8-12 mph
Speeds listed are rolling averages. Expect slower and faster sections depending on topography and weather.

Registration Info

Registration is required
Non-members must pre-register (including a signed waiver of liability) to participate. Pre-registration is recommended for members. Pre-registering allows the ride leader to quickly locate your emergency contact information if needed. Also, members are covered under the club's liability insurance policy and excess accident medical expense insurance policy. In the event of a claim, pre-registration will facilitate the claims process and provide evidence that you were a ride participant. Please note that the club’s insurance policies do not cover non-members. All riders must wear a helmet and follow CCC's other ride rules as posted on this website.
