Champion's Sendoff

Sad and maddening. Another tragedy in our cycling community. Jake Boykin, 25 years old, was run over by what appears to be a drunk driver in his pickup truck. It happened last Friday on Wacissa Springs Rd. Jake was a cycling champion. He won the 2023 USA Cycling Collegiate Road National Championship. He represented the FSU Cycling Team, as he was a doctoral student at FSU, studying exercise physiology.
To celebrate his life, Jake's friends are organizing a Champion's Sendoff at the Chaires Community Center, 4768 Chaires Cross Rd. on Thursday September 28 at 5:30 pm (Jake Boykin Sendoff Flyer)
