Sunday Classics - St. Marks Lighthouse from Wakulla Station (B+, 35 miles)
About this event
The route travels down the St Mark’s Trail to Bloxham Cutoff Road and then through the St. Marks National Wildlife Refuge for a stop at the lighthouse in the National Wildlife Refuge. The new pavement in the National Wildlife Refuge is particularly nice. On the return, the route rejoins the St. Mark's Trail for the ride back to the Wakulla Station Trailhead.
This ride frequently regroups and we will be open to altering the distance, mid-ride. Anyone who speaks up with what they need regarding speed and distance will not be dropped.
Ride Paces: A++: 22+ mph A+: 20-22 mph A: 18-20 mph B+: 16-18 mph B: 14-16 mph C: 12-14 mph CASUAL: 8-12 mph
Speeds listed are typical rolling speeds. Expect slower and faster sections depending on hills and wind.
Registration Info
Registration is required
Non-members must pre-register (including a signed waiver of liability) to participate. Pre-registration is recommended for members. Pre-registering allows the ride leader to quickly locate your emergency contact information if needed. Also, members are covered under the club's liability insurance policy and excess accident medical expense insurance policy. In the event of a claim, pre-registration will facilitate the claims process and provide evidence that you were a ride participant. Please note that the club’s insurance policies do not cover non-members. All riders must wear a helmet and follow CCC's other ride rules as posted on this website.
