Note: We're now starting this ride in the FDOT parking lot, by the Blanche J. Johnson Building at 640 E. Gaines St.) (i.e., the old credit union building) to have more room and some shade.
While most of the route is on country roads, there is some urban riding at the beginning and end, mostly along FAMU Way. The routes also includes stretches on three trails: The Capital Cascades Trail, The GF&A Trail and the St. Mark's Historic Railroad State Trail. There are two possible rest/regroup stops (both with restrooms) designated on the route. The first is the Trout Pond GF&A Trailhead around mile 10.5. The second is the J. Lewis Hall Sr. (Woodville) Park around mile 29.
This ride frequently regroups and we will be open to altering the distance, mid-ride. Anyone who speaks up with what they need regarding speed and distance will not be dropped.
