This is a first group ride in honor of Chesterfield Smith. This is a fundraising event for Mothers Against Drunk Driving, who are organizing the Ride like MADD event in May, to raise funds to help decrease the number of people killed or injured by people driving while under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
Chet was one of the victims in 2021 while riding his bike.

The ride starts at 8 AM and route is 39 miles on trail to end and back and then swing to Southwood and back and that is about 40. Thirty-nine mile is because someone gets killed every 39 minutes by an impaired driver - which as we all know, Chet was killed by an impaired driver.”
