About this event
Meals on 2 Wheels rides occur each Monday and Thursday. The routes are different but they always start out the same way. To join the ride you can meet the group at Panera Bread on Ocala Road at the W Tennessee shopping center at 10:00am. The group usually visits for a few minutes, letting people finish coffee and possibly breakfast. Then they head west on Tennessee to Elder Care Services and pick up meals for delivery. From Elder Care Services the routes diverge depending on the day.
The ride leader, Roger Holdener, will ensure there is sufficient transport capability for the hot meals, so new riders do not need to worry about carrying a load. These rides are very pleasant rides in traffic-safe neighborhoods. The few blocks on Tennessee St are safe, especially with plenty of riders and some trailers in the group, we have seen that cars are very respectful of us (especially because we have big Meals on 2 Wheels signs on the trailers).
It's fun and on bike trails or light traffic streets. Or you can just show up at St. Marks main trail head at 9:00 or the Ocala Street Panera's at 10:00 or at Elder Care Services at 10:15.
