Lighthouse Ride

The number of Covid-19 positive persons in Leon county remains high, and larger traditional group rides still pose an unnecessary risk to our riders and our community. To encourage people to ride, we are organizing socially distanced group rides, where people ride a course solo or in small household groups.  This will give people some level of comfort and support in case of mechanical or other problems. Instead of a defined start time, start anytime between 8:30 and 9:30 am.

The rides are free and open to members and non-members, but registration is necessary. For members this will activate secondary insurance coverage.

lighthouse1The next ride will be a lighthouse ride, starting from the Wakulla Station trailhead. The lighthouse is in the National Wildlife Refuge and a $1 entrance fee is charged for cyclists. Note that an American Flamingo has been seen recently on Mounds Pool III.

A ride map can be found on RideWithGPS.com
