1st Sunday Group Skills Ride (A pace, 31 miles)

About this event

Pace Miles Pace Group Leader Route
A (18 to 20) 31 Ken Schilling 1st Sunday Group Skills Ride

Fast, flat and where it’s at.. social riding with a purpose. On designated sections, you can either observe or actually ride in formations. Try it…there is big fun to be had in participating; just ask others who’ve done it. Please note that formations tend to be “un-fun” unless everyone agrees to adjust their speed up or down, ride close to others and “take instructions”. Not your cup of tea? No problem. Anyone who’s most comfortable near the back and speaks up with what they need will not be dropped.

Ride Director Note: This ride involves riding in a tight formation, sometimes with a continuously rotating single or double paceline. If you are not sure you have the skills for that type of riding please let Ken know and stay out of the pack/rotation. Ken will work with you. Safety always comes first.

Ride Paces:   A++: 22+ mph   A+: 20-22 mph   A: 18-20 mph   B+: 16-18 mph   B: 14-16 mph  C: 12-14 mph   CASUAL: 8-12 mph
Speeds listed are typical rolling speeds.  Expect slower and faster sections depending on hills and wind.

Registration Info

Registration is required
Non-members must pre-register (including a signed waiver of liability) to participate. Pre-registration is recommended for members. Pre-registering allows the ride leader to quickly locate your emergency contact information if needed. Also, members are covered under the club's liability insurance policy and excess accident medical expense insurance policy. In the event of a claim, pre-registration will facilitate the claims process and provide evidence that you were a ride participant. Please note that the club’s insurance policies do not cover non-members. All riders must wear a helmet and follow CCC's other ride rules as posted on this website.
