Join Christine and the group for a morning ride that us about 85% gravel and dirt roads
Killearn United Methodist Church
Tuesday at 6:00 PM ride from the Killearn Methodist church. It’s a category B Ride. Speed rating 18-24 on the flats, and slower on the uphill climbs. No drop, regroup at major intersections.
Join the group for 4 different rides from downtown Havana into southern Georgia and back. The routes rotate from week-to-week.
This is a clay ride following the well known Flag Loop route (also known as the 3 Bitches) from Bradley‘s Country Store. Gravel bikes or even road bikes with fatter tires should be sufficient. Of course, mountain bikes are also fine, but are not required. However, a minimum tire width of 38 mm is recommended. After the ride, join whoever is hungry for the world famous Bradley‘s sausage.
This ride is a bicycle version of Meals on Wheels. We deliver both hot and cold meals to clients of Elder Care Services. Meet at Panera Bread on Ocala Street at 10 am on Mondays and Thursdays. St Marks Headwaters Greenway Buck Lake Trailhead the new facility on Buck Lake Road
Join the group for a ride down to the Wacissa River and back. We stop for a rest break at the Wacissa Springs Public Boat Ramp, which is quite scenic. There is an option to shorten the ride a bit by skipping the stretch from Tram Road down to the Boat Ramp.
Wakulla Station Trailhead Park
Join Christine and the group Friday mornings at 10:00 am. at Wakulla Station.
Dorothy Cooper Spence Community Center
The route covers some beautiful country roads with a few rolling hills to get your blood pumping. We re-group periodically. There is a rest stop at the Wacissa Church around mile 20.5 where ice and water are available.
Southwood Town Center near Subway
We will leave from the Southwood Town Center near Subway, ride to the St Marks Trail, and down the Trail to Wakulla Station and back. The typical route is about 28 flat miles but people can do more or less.
Miccosukee Community Center
Route description:
A very nice and quiet ride through the country roads surrounding Lake Miccosukee. This is a NO DROP group ride but not a Beginners ride. All safety equipment is required.
Southwood Town Center near Subway
This is a short, but spirited, ride that stays entirely within the Southwood neighborhood. Southwood‘s roads are some of the best in the Tallahassee area for bicycling. Most of the roads have dedicated bike lanes, low traffic, slow speeds, good sight lines, and generally courteous drivers.
Wakulla Station Trailhead Park
The route: Down the St Mark’s Trail, to the Hwy 98 extension to Lighthouse Road and through the St. Marks National Wildlife Refuge to the lighthouse stop. The return route jogs through Newport and rejoins the St. Mark‘s Trail back to the Wakulla Station Trailhead. Bring water (none available in the park) and $1.00 for the cyclist entry fee.
