This is a short, but spirited, ride that stays entirely within the Southwood neighborhood. Southwood‘s roads are some of the best in the Tallahassee area for bicycling. Most of the roads have dedicated bike lanes, low traffic, slow speeds, good sight lines, and generally courteous drivers.

The route: Down the St Mark’s Trail, to the Hwy 98 extension to Lighthouse Road and through the St. Marks National Wildlife Refuge to the lighthouse stop. The return route jogs through Newport and rejoins the St. Mark‘s Trail back to the Wakulla Station Trailhead. Bring water (none available in the park) and $1.00 for the cyclist entry fee.
