Trips for Kids Tallahassee
What we do is simple. We take kids on bike rides. Kids that otherwise would not have the opportunity to ride a bike regularly or get out and see the natural environment.
From April to September we host at least one mountain bike ride each week at the St Marks trail. The trail is generally smooth and hard packed and perfect for beginner riders.

TFK Ride Calendar
Trips for Kids rides are typically held on Thursday evenings and Saturday mornings. One ride per week, alternating the day each week.
Ride leaders and volunteers are critical to the success of Trips for Kids. We have 1 ride leader for every 3 kids on each ride. Ride leaders help keep the group organized, answer questions and help the kids as needed.
No special skills are necessary, just enthusiasm and willingness to help. We have at least one ride captain on each ride with experience in bike mechanics and first aid. Rides are once a week, usually on Thursday evening or Saturday morning.Think if you never had the opportunity to play in the woods or ride bike as a kid. No one should have to go without that experience. You can help make sure no one does.
Sign up to be a ride leader and we will put you on our email list. Each week we send out an email to the list with the ride date and time. If you are available that week please let us know. It’s that simple. Simple, but life changing.
If you have questions about helping with TFK rides please contact Paul McManus (firstname.lastname@example.org) for more info.

Capital City Cyclists’s Kids On Bikes (Tallahassee) is a member of Trips for Kids® International a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization based in Marin County, California. Founded in 1988 and now operating in over 80 locations throughout the United States, Canada and Israel, Trips for Kids (TFK®) International has opened the world of cycling to over 100,000 at-risk youth through guided mountain bike rides and job training/earn-a-bike programs.
All TFK chapters, modeled on the foundation of the original TFK Marin program, are managed and operated independently at the local level but share a common goal. Their mission is to use bicycles as a vehicle for lessons in confidence building, achievement, health, fitness and environmental awareness through the development of practical skills and the simple act of having fun.
We would not be able to do the work we do without the generous support of our Trips for Kids International Sponsors and are proud to be working in partnership with these companies. Please join us in saying thank you by patronizing their business whenever possible.
