Capital City Cyclists Kids on Bikes: Trips for Kids August 8th 2012

Capital City Cyclists members lead another great Trips for Kids ride on August 8th 2012 from the warehouse off the St. Marks Trial. We took 20 kids for a ride around Munson Hills. Thanks to Jack Tomassetti, Kerns Hiett, David Shufflebotham and Dave Cox for leading the group. We had one flat, one bend wheel, several minor crashes, one minor rain storm, tons of fun and a bunch of exuberant riders.

Something we do not have enough of is water bottle cages. We need about 20. If you have extras please drop them off at Ken Fosters downtown office, 424 East Call Street at Meridian Road, you can leave them on the porch if no one is there. Or go to the CCC website Kids on Bikes Program and look for a PayPal donation button. Enough for one cage makes a big difference. Our next ride is August 25th so please act now so we have time to acquire and install the cages.

Do you have a work, school, church or social group you would like to take on a ride but don’t have enough bikes? Capital City Cyclists might be able to help and work something out 🙂 We have over 100 bikes that we can work with so please contact us.

Let us know if you want to get involved.
